Aggregate Sisense Logs
AnsweredWe're looking for ways to aggregate Sisense logs (by hour for example) and send them off a remote location for storage. I wonder if Sisense has solutions or suggestions for how to do it.
For example, the logs in "C:\ProgramData\Sisense\Monitoring\LOGS\".
More specifically I have looked at Azure Data Factory and Data Gateway to copy the logs to Azure Blob Storage. The very first challenge is that Sisense logs are not partitioned (or aggregated, rolled) in a way that is compatible with Azure Data Factory. For example, NodeWebServer logs have a timestamp in the file name, like "NodeWebServer[1493076932177].log". It would be compatible if the name were NodeWebServer-2017-04-24-23, or even better in a directory 2017/04/24/23 as {year}/{month}/{day}/{hour}. Is something like this configurable in Sisense?
Any other ideas for aggregating Sisense logs?

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your comment.
The product's logs are designed per our internal needs for development and support so at the moment we do not have plans to alter the naming convention or storage method.
However, it is on our product roadmap to provide real-time monitoring information on performance, issues as well as usage insights, back to the administrators of Sisense systems.
I hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Arik
