Calling External Functions Prior to Elasticube Builds

Hello,

I have a set of functions I'd like to run to populate tables within our database (externally from Sisense) with records right before I use those tables in a cube build.  Is there a way to configure my builds so that an external process runs before the data is brought in?  The goal of tying cube builds to external processes is to ensure that the data is as complete as possible, up to the second before a build is scheduled to kick off.  There are also business reasons why I want to run these processes externally, rather than executing them all directly in the cube manager.
