Dashboards not appearing in left pane / Switch to Owner's View

Not sure what is going on.  I did an update and went form version 8.1 to 20.21.6, and now none of my dashboards appear in the left navigation pane, plus I can no longer switch to owner's view of the dashboards I didn't create. 

I have stopped and started services, I have rebuilt catalogs. 

When I create a new dashboard, it appears in the left hand pane, but when I refresh it disappears.  When I turn on dashboard administration in the admin screens, I see all the dashboards on the main content screen.

Any ideas?
